Requirements:
1.Associates degree or higher with 12 college credits (semester hours) in education/child development; Bachelors preferred
2. Minimum of 3 years experience working with children
3. Minimum of 1 year in supervising childcare professionals
4. Ability to work well with others in training and supervising
5. Ability to demonstrate good observation skills, judgment and interest in learning about children with disabilities
6. Good verbal and written communication skills; bilingual preferred
7. Documentation of Class I Fingerprint Clearance card must be provided within 45 days.
8. Must provide current certification in CPR, First Aid, DES/DDD Prevention & Support and Article IX within
60 days of employment
Duties:
1. Responsible to Director of Human Services
2. Assist with accountability through participant matrix, individual participant books, attendance records, etc. for participants
3. Assist in the development and implementation of schedules and opportunities for children to gain independence, self help and social skills, make quality use of leisure time and meet their objectives in academic and behavioral areas with emphasis on the arts.
4. Assist in assuring that all contract requirements (DES/DDD, DES/Childcare Licensure, CACFP, etc.) are being met including; writing objectives, lesson plans, data collection, behavior plans, monthly reporting, incident reporting, physical management reporting, ISP meetings, etc.
5. Assist in supervising and evaluating staff and volunteers in out-of-school time classes and activities.
6. Assist with medication dispensing after training
7. Willing to model and participate fully in all Arts for All activities.
8. Willing to participate in a minimum of 20 continuing education hours annually.
