ROLE SUMMARY:
Large local wholesale and retail plant nursery and garden center is seeking a Greenhouse Nursery Worker. 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include: stocking/trimming/staking/arranging/propagating/watering/fertilizing/transplanting plants, raking, sweeping, weeding, keeping plant selling areas and/or greenhouses clean, organized and merchandised to maximize customer shopping experience.
Job requires lifting heavy plants, trees, pottery and related goods on a regular, daily basis. Job is outside everyday in all types of weather. Will be exposed to wind, dust, sun, rain in an outdoor environment.
SKILLS + REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and work primarily outdoors in diverse Arizona weather with exposure to nursery elements such as dirt, insects, water, heat and cold as well as the ability to lift 30-50 lbs
- Previous nursery experience a major plus
- Ok with working weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid Arizona Driver's License and reliable transportation to and from work
- Drug Free, Smoke Free, Alcohol Free environment
- Background check may be required
