BoldGrid is presently seeking an experienced startup Marketing Manager to join the team in our Virginia Beach, VA office.
BoldGrid represents a new line of powerful software products designed to significantly enhance WordPress, the world's leading content management system ("CMS"). As the Marketing Manager you will have an opportunity to materially influence the growth and success of this endeavor, with end-to-end marketing responsibility. To be successful in this role you'll characterize yourself as a driven self-starter with demonstrated and measurable success in bringing new technology products to market and leveraging initial traction to long term growth and success. You will execute innovative and effective tactics for customer acquisition, conversion and engagement. In summary, we are looking for a leader who can proactively and collaboratively lead our marketing vision of making BoldGrid a leading brand in the WordPress communities.
You will join an established, highly collaborative and exciting team in an amazing work environment and work in close alignment with the primary stakeholders of the company.
What You'll Do:
Lead all marketing activities for an exciting new suite of web-centric software from start up to recognized brand and product set
Supervise early stage marketing team members and outside resources
Bring alignment to the product and the marketing messaging and audience across all marketing activities
Work independently and in collaboration with cross departmental teams as required
Identify and leverage external resources for research, marketing communications, marketing operations, and other key activities
Lead brand development, presentation and communication
Learn and understand BoldGrid customers and products to identify purchase funnels and best platforms to capture customer insights
Execute marketing programs to drive customer demand and engagement (PPC, social, sponsorships)
Develop and maintain competitive analyses and stay current on industry trends
Support various types of strategic partnerships and business development activities
Champion product changes and feature additions needed by the customer
Leverage automation tools to bring scale to demand generation programs
Create effective templates to be used for campaign materials for email, landing pages, and one sheets
Present findings to management on conversion, most effective campaigns, and areas for improvement. Be able to draw conclusions and provide recommendations on data collected
Ideal Candidates Have:
5+ years leading a diverse Marketing team focused on products and demand generation, preferably in the areas of software, online services, and web design
Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for a growing portfolio of WordPress plug-ins, design tools, and backend workflow automation
Hands-on, "get it done" mentality, skill set and confidence
Budget creation and financial acumen related to marketing efforts such as ad buys, agency and/or vendors, events and subscriptions
Revenue / growth mentality and hyper success drive
Familiarity and involvement in the global WordPress ecosystem and user communities highly valuable
Experience in both direct business-to-business and business-to-consumer and indirect sales and distribution execution
Experience cultivating a viral user community and grass roots awareness and enthusiasm in established and evolving online and offline venues
Success in planning key marketing events, sponsorships, and online and offline promotions and campaigns
Ability to analyze and develop direction from ambiguous market environments
Employee first attitude and commitment to staff development
Proven success in Content Marketing, including large scale SEO and content creation
Demonstrated experience with pipeline reporting and activity reports/dashboard creation.
Experience leveraging CRMs and marketing automation desirable
BA or equivalent in Marketing, Advertising or Business related coursework
Experience with online advertising on Google and YouTube
Experience utilizing Google Analytics or similar web analytic package
