ADVANACED LEVEL CNC MACHINIST LEAD/FOREMAN
Full-time · $20 - $30 / hour
You will be working with a group of passionate team members manufacturing parts for customers all around the world! Applicant must be able to remain organized, positive, and energetic in a very fast paced and sometimes stressful environment while still being able to provide exceptional quality and accuracy. Qualifications/Abilities
- 3 to 5 years machine shop experience minimum
- Must be very well rounded with a general knowledge of the machine shop environment
- Must be proficient with set ups on Haas CNC lathes and mills
- Establishing and adjusting WCS offsets… G54, G55, ect.
- Establishing and adjusting Tool offsets
- Able to understand/read g code and accurately make at the machine edits if necessary
- Able to prove in first run programs at the machine methodically, catching and avoiding potential machine crashes with minimal scrap rate.
- Hand programming and/or CAD (Solidworks/Fusion360) CAM programming (HSM/Fusion360) NOT required but a plus.
- The ability to read blueprints to understand product specs.
- Must be a detail-oriented machinist with a hyper-focus on quality. You will perform your own quality control & first articles, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to management.
- Good oral communication skills, ability to follow written and oral instructions, ability follow reporting and record keeping procedures
- Analytical and some numerical skills a must; ability to perform or learn mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on cnc mill, cnc lathe or other manufacturing machinery
- Ability to lift 45 pounds if needed, able to bend, and to stand for long periods of time.
Description/Responsibilities
- Actively lead the shop with cleaning machinery and maintaining cleanliness, organization and order in the work area. This is a MUST!
- Perform repeat/production setups quickly and accurately, prove in and produce the first article with minimal scrap. Responsible for establishing workflow/mat’l staging all the way to final part count/bin stocking, will help machine operators with any part adjustments or problems that arise during production run. Must have attention to detail, self discipline to record pertinent job information to run, set up, or improve jobs in future production runs.
- Ability to be handed a program for prototype/first run parts, then select the proper workholding and cutting tools, material and go produce good parts with minimal interface/oversight/training.
- Work with the production manager/management to adhere to the production schedule.
- Check in and maintain counts on material stock and cutting tools required for upcoming production jobs.
