Description: Under general supervision, plans, schedules, and coordinates daily corrective and preventative maintenance activities on mine equipment with maintenance supervision in conformance with company policies and procedures and established equipment maintenance standards. Distributes work orders and assists reliability supervisor with job coordination. Provides cost control monitoring and equipment specification conformity for maintenance activities. Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures regarding mine, plant or mill equipment and machinery lubrication, repair and overhaul practices. Maintains records and time reports on equipment maintenance.

Duties: • Distributes work orders and assists maintenance supervisor with job coordination.

• Provides cost control monitoring and equipment specification conformity for maintenance activities.

• Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures regarding mine equipment and machinery lubrication, repair and overhaul practices.

• Maintains ongoing contacts with mine equipment vendors and suppliers in regard to equipment, material and parts specifications, and warranties associated with mine equipment.

• Understands and complies with company, federal, and state safety and environmental regulations and maintains safe work procedures related to mine equipment maintenance activities.

• Confers with mine supervision to implement equipment maintenance activities.

• Monitors mine equipment maintenance activities to assure work is progressing according to established procedures.

• Develops maintenance procedures, practices and protocols.

• Performs observations and analyses of mine equipment maintenance activities, prepares reports and maintains related data.

• Monitors for quality, quantity, and completeness of the assigned equipment maintenance tasks.

• Understands and uses computer software and applications associated with mine equipment maintenance assignments.

• Assist with the implementation of ERP system and CMMS.

• Complies with Company's safety awareness program, office and/or field safety policies.

• Conforms to company core values.

• Acts with integrity in all elements of responsibility.

• Expresses ideas clearly and listens to the ideas of others.

• Supports alignment of customer and company objectives.

• Performs other related mine equipment maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or demonstrated equivalent. Prefer some college or technical associates related courses.

Experience: This is a qualified level maintenance planning position with several years of demonstrated mine or heavy construction equipment maintenance experience. May act as a maintenance supervisor. Must have basic proficiency in MS Office Suite software, Word and Excel.

The work environment will necessitate work near moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions such as hot and/or dry conditions. Work will be conducted in locations where noise, fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration may exist.

Employee will be expected to drive a company car, rental car or his/her own car in the course of performing their job. Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current, valid driver's license.
