SURV-KAP LLC is seeking a Plant Manager to join our team! You will oversee the activities of our team of production employees. The Plant Manager is responsible for driving key performance indicators through effective management of the production workforce and proactive execution of the day to day Operations plan. We are a small company anticipating significant growth over the next few years, and this is an opportunity for you to grow into more responsible leadership roles as we grow.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate the daily activities of the production team
Delegate production assignments to appropriate team members
Schedule production orders from customers
Verify timely delivery of raw materials
Oversee all regular maintenance of production equipment
Inspect all materials and equipment for adherence to specifications
Ensure adherence of all team members to all safety policies and procedures
Provide two-week look-ahead every week to include manpower, equipment and material needs
Review long-term forecasts and backlog and recommend anticipated needs to management
Assist in development of Production key performance indicators
Work with customers to properly quote on custom orders
Qualifications:
Previous experience in production and metals manufacturing
Knowledge of production tools and equipment
Strong leadership qualities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to expertly read plans and specifications
Must be able to manipulate spreadsheets and utilize data reporting forms
Some familiarity plus willingness to work with Shop Control/Inventory Management software tools
Familiarity with AutoCad or similar software is a plus
Familiarity with foundry operations would be helpful but not required
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine setup procedures
Willingness to help drive positive change, learn new things, and implement process improvements
