Medical Appointments Scheduler
Pain Management practice is seeking a central appointment scheduler to schedule appointments for several offices. This position requires excellent customer service skills. The scheduler must be able to respond to both written and oral correspondence regarding scheduling changes/cancellations in a timely, accurate manner. This position is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with an hour lunch.
Duties:
Scheduling of patient appointments
Working a recall list and contacting patients to schedule future appointments requested by providers
Verifying patient demographic and PCP information on each call and updating as needed
Any and all other duties as assigned dependent upon department/practice needs
Requirements:
3+ years of scheduling experience in a medical practice
Medical Assistant a plus
Knowledgeable with Appointment Scheduling
Experience with authorization and insurance verification
Professional and pleasant attitude.
Ability to solve problems, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment.
Ability to make independent decisions regarding matters of significance.
Able to work in a team environment and interact positively with team members.
Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology
Attention to detail.
High level of proficiency with PC based software programs.
