Job Overview
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the welcoming face of our organization, providing exceptional service to our patients and visitors. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk operation, where you will manage patient interactions, appointments, and administrative tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism. You’ll be the first point of contact, setting the tone for an outstanding experience that reflects our commitment to quality care.
What you’ll do
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (nymbl systems).
Handle patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette while maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Process medical records and documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries related to medical coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Maintain organized filing systems for patient records and administrative documents.
Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate care plans and facilitate seamless patient flow.
Provide clerical support including typing correspondence and managing multi-line phone systems.
Basic qualifications
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent typing skills, including 10-key typing for accurate data entry.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in a medical office or clinic environment, particularly in roles involving patient service or medical administrative support.
Familiarity with various EHR systems such as Futura, OPIE, Nymbl
Bilingual abilities are a plus to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
Knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and insurance verification processes.
