We are a brick and mortar store with a full time opening for a sales associate. You will interact with customers in person as well as on the telephone to assist them in making their purchases. You must be able to grasp our unique product line quickly so that you can function as a consultant when our customers need to figure out what will work for them. You need to be creative in designing selling spaces and utilizing display fixtures in different ways. Duties will also include using the computer extensively, calculating selling prices, stocking the shelves, purchasing and receiving product, assisting in the warehouse and other duties as needed. We will provide extensive training on the job.
Starting pay will probably be in the range of $12 to $13 per hour, but, consideration can be given for related experience. As additional compensation, we offer health insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation time and paid sick leave. We work business hours during weekdays and some Saturdays.
You must be able to stand on your feet throughout the day. You must be able to lift large and bulky boxes and other items and use furniture and appliance dollies to move things around. You must be able to speak clearly, write well and perform basic math accurately. Spanish speaking ability could be a plus. You must be patient and show tolerance when working with difficult people.
