We are looking for hard working unemployed military veterans in the Tucson area who are looking for a new career. We provide paid training in the telephone and broadband installation field. No cost access to work vehicle with all required tools is provided.
Job Summary
As a Broadband Technician, you will be engaged with installing, repairing, testing, and modifying line and station telephone equipment for customers using hand tools, power tools, and computer interfaces. Includes repairs to outside lines, and placing new service lines.
Test newly installed telephone/DSL equipment using testing devices and repair or replace faulty equipment. Perform appropriate testing to ensure proper transmission and service specifications.
Install and maintain service lines (copper and fiber) to the premise for data and telephone services- includes splicing and rearrangement
Refurbish cable and install facilities within pedestals and/or terminals.
Climb ladders, attach terminal boxes and carrier housings, and repair or replace defective lines and auxiliary equipment.
Observe all safety rules and regulations.
Install/troubleshoot high-speed internet and data networks.
Convey a positive and professional appearance and demeanor when communicating the company’s products and services to our customers.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical proficiency to perform the specific work requirements of the job in each location.
Ability to safely carry, maneuver, and climb ladders to access aerial facilities on poles.
Capability to distinguish colors on facilities.
Capability to lift heavy objects as required.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and at various hours of the day.
Ability to work overtime, shift, weekends, and holidays as required.
Possession of a valid AZ driver’s license with ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment, and maintain a safe driving record.
Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record.
