BISHOP SECURITY IS RECRUITING AN EXPERIENCED MOBILE SECURITY PATROL ROUTE DRIVER - FULL TIME.

****THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL JOB****

MUST ALREADY HAVE A CURRENT ARIZONA DPS GUARD LICENSE - UNARMED OR ARMED, AND HAVE AT LEAST ONE YEAR OF SECURITY OR POLICE EXPERIENCE (MOBILE PATROL ROUTE DRIVING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)

Drivers handle a wide variety of routine duties and handle situations like noise complaints, investigate suspicious activity, parking enforcement, etc. and proactively engage in removing trespassers and vagrants from clients' properties.

** Full time - approximately 38 - 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime. Duty hours are approximately 9:00pm - 5:00am, five nights per week (including weekends and holidays)

***Position requires being available to work weekends and 8 major holidays (major holidays paid at time and 1/2). MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ANY NIGHT OF THE WEEK.

****STARTING SALARY $13.00 PER HOUR, periodic merit raises, cash perks****

****TAKE HOME PATROL CAR PROGRAM - To be eligible for a take-home vehicle, employee must live within our current patrol area, must rent or own your residence (with a written lease), must have a safe place to park the car (not on any streets or in any restricted areas) and must be parked where Company supervisors have immediate, unrestricted access to the vehicle (not in fenced areas, garages or on D/M Air Force Base, etc.). Company pays for all vehicle expenses (fuel, repairs, oil changes, etc.). You start your patrol route from your home, then go directly home after your shift - no personal time is spent driving to and from an office to pick up and drop off your patrol vehicle.

****WE PROVIDE FREE UNIFORMS, A 2-WAY RADIO, CASH INCENTIVES, AND AS STEADY A WORK SCHEDULE AS POSSIBLE.

****Before patrolling alone, all new drivers receive 32 - 40 hours of paid training, riding with a supervisor to learn about each site in your assigned patrol district and to learn how our company operates.

REQUIREMENTS:

Impeccable honesty

MUST ALREADY POSSESS A CURRENT ARIZONA DPS GUARD LICENSE - ARMED OR UNARMED

Minimum 1 year security or police experience, mobile patrol experience preferred.

Thorough knowledge of the Tucson metro area's major streets and general layout, WITHOUT relying on GPS

Be available to work any night of the week

Stable, current, local work references in the security or police career fields

DD214 required for veterans - Honorable Discharge only. If military experience is used to fulfill our 1 year experience requirement, military job must be relevant to what we do and DD214 must verify that.

Clean criminal record

Clean driving record - No DUI's or other serious moving violations - Must be a safe, conscientious driver

No illegal drug use - be able to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. No "medical marijuana" or any other type of marijuana use while employed with us. REMEMBER, Marijuana use or having a medical marijuana card, makes you a prohibited possessor of firearms.

No medical condition that interferes with any aspect of the job, including (but not limited to): walking, stair climbing, driving at night, staying awake, getting in and out of a patrol car, changing a flat tire, re-fueling a patrol car, communicating on a two-way radio, writing, etc.

Professional appearance and demeanor.

Be a self-starter and be able follow instructions and perform with minimal supervision once trained

Be able to handle a wide variety of security related situations, including confronting trespassers and vagrants

Command of the English language - spoken and written

Ability to write accurate and concise reports with reasonably correct spelling and grammar usage

Be able to testify in court if necessary

Be a dependable team player

BISHOP SECURITY is a veteran and family owned, local Tucson security guard agency that was established in 1991 by owner/operators Mark and Sue Bishop. The two owners possess over 73 years of combined security, police, and firefighter/EMT experience. Mr. Bishop is a pilot and aircraft owner - interested employees can fly with him either just for fun or as the ground observer/photographer for special projects.
