As a technical Support Specialist you will diagnose and troubleshoot problems over the phone to walk customers through repairing their garage doors and remotes at home, as well as answering general inquires. This company is a great place to build a long term career with advancement opportunities to webchat and email support, level 2 support for their residential line, and technical support for their professional/commercial product line.Responsibilities:-Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution-Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues following wiring diagrams and schematics-Provide nuanced instruction, you will contact clients via phone and/or provide clear, written instructions and technical manuals.-Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams-Ensure all issues are properly loggedWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:-Typing skills of 25 wpm desirable.-Ability to work independently to set and meet deadlines.-Previous experience providing answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps required-Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics preferred-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required.-Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issuesEducation:High SchoolExperience:ExperiencedQualifications:-Education: High School diploma or equivalent. -Experienced PC user and must be familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.-Must be mechanically and logically inclined.-Must have demonstrated satisfactory attendance and met overall performance expectations in current role.
