Business Office Manager

Yuma Advanced Surgical Suites, LLC- Yuma Arizona

Motivated individual needed for new healthcare facility. Knowledge of freestanding, ambulatory surgery business office staffing required, along with experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage Peachtree, facility billing and coding, insurance reimbursement and receivables management. Previous healthcare management and medical billing/collections experience required.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversight of Billing¨Accounts Payable¨Accounts Receivable¨Cash Management¨Supervision of Business Office Personnel¨Responsible for end of month close and providing end of month reports¨Will work closely with Nurse Administrator on Surgery Center business development¨Interview, hire and train all Business Office employees¨Offer exceptional customer service¨Other tasks as delegated

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB:

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent in experience

Experience:

Minimum of four years of experience in health care with at least one year in supervisory role required. Ambulatory Surgery Center management preferred.

Strong background in billing, accounting and financial management.

Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claims process.

Other:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Computer skills, Excel, Word, Adobe, Proficient with Accounting Software such as QuickBooks or Sage Peachtree, Insurance Verification, Exceptional Customer Service, Self-Motivated, Understanding of Process of Billing Procedures, Healthcare Experience, Exhibits Professionalism, Highly Motivated, and must possess a Good Attitude
