The General Shop Mechanic position will be responsible for repairing medium-heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers loaders excavators forklifts. The General Shop Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining fleet of trucks and equipment
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repair brakes electrical systems
Perform suspension work (replace springs, u-bolts, and replace air valves
Replace brake chambers, trouble shoot, replace or repair air system
Perform basic welding
Shorten or stretch frames
Mount fifth wheels, truck bodies
Install hydraulic kits; rebuild or repair engines.
Pull parts off salvaged equipment
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Perform other tasks as assigned by management, and also maintain a clean and safe work Environment
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must have good Mechanical ability and able to work without supervision
