Full Charge Bookkeeper
Clark Industries, Inc. is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper. We are a manufacturing company involved in machining & fabrication that was established in 1967.
This position requires a person who can multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. This person must be dependable, have a good work ethic, be able to maintain a positive temperament, and project a can do attitude at all times. The right candidate would be someone that is a self-starter, can work with little to no supervision, and willing to work hard to help us grow and improve.
The qualities and experiences needed to complete this job are:
Good communication skills are a must. You must be comfortable dealing with customers, vendors and all employees. Must be able to think on your feet. Ability to listen and understand the requirements to complete projects and ask for clarification when needed to complete tasks given.
Must be computer literate in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Will have to learn to use JobBoss (a custom machine shop program) and our time clock management software, and Quick Books.
Daily bookkeeping processes include AP, AR, Job Costing, General Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Credit Card Entries and Reconciliations, and any other accounting function that may arise.
Must have payroll experience. Must process payroll on a bi-weekly basis and be knowledgeable in the filing of all payroll tax payments and returns.
Job Costing is a big part of the job. This is a manufacturing company so Labor, Materials, and Overhead must be tracked. Profit or Loss for each job must be determined.
Knowledge of the month end process will also be needed. Monthly adjusting entries to be made for accrual of payroll, job costs, prepaid expenses, etc.
