The Business Analyst will create, modify and maintain reports and spreadsheets analyzing Key Performance Indicators for the Rental Department. This includes the creation of reports using the data stored in the SQL Database and executing them through SSRS, Foresight Dashboard, Internal Website and other applicable platforms.

Must be able to fulfill essential job function in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Essential Job Duties:

Understand the Companys Business Operating System as it relates to Rental:

Work with Inside Rental Sales team on the life cycle of a Rental Contract.

Understand how price control files work and their function within the system.

Understand the basic financial structure of the Company and how revenue and expenses are distributed.

Understand the life cycle of a piece of equipment and how it is recorded in the Equipment file.

Develop, Maintain and Distribute Rental Department Reports:

Work with data in the database to calculate Gross and Net ROI for Rental machines and by Group/Product Code.

Create and distribute reports on Revenue and Expense Analysis.

Create email alerts and reports to notify management of certain KPIs.

Develop reporting that matches industry formats and standards.

Work with Outside Rental Sales for customer reporting and email alerts.

Create and Develop Best Practices:

Work with Management and Rental Sales Team on processes and procedures to capture useful data.

Document operational procedures as they relate to Next for Windows and Rental processes.

Be a help-desk resource for Rental Department end users of the Business Operating System by helping solve technical glitches that occur during our everyday use.

Directly communicate user issues with Next for Windows to EBS support team and work with EBS in resolving user issues.

Maintain Rental Department related internal and external websites and applications.

Work with website developer on maintaining data integrity for Rental related website sites.

Work with website developer on maintaining or creating new web pages or applications.

Work with external sources of data (Rouse Analytics, BillTrust, Dodge Report, etc.) for integration into our everyday processes.

Other Duties

Work with management on new and innovative ways to integrated technology into the Rental Department.

Work with management and users on changes to the Business Operating System.

Work with other departments to ensure data integrity and consistency to ensure Reports are accurate and true.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Experience:

Minimum 21 years of age

Extensive background in Information Technology

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products including Office, SQL Server and Reporting Services.

Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

Ability to learn the Companys Business Operating System

2+ years of SQL query writing and report building

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Basic understanding of HTML5 and website development

Basic understanding of Android and Apple IOS application development

Basic understanding of API Integration, database management, network security and email applications

Other Requirements

Ability to travel to other Company locations or Vendor sites for training and support.

Education:

Bachelors Degree and/or relevant business experience.

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

This position will be working in indoor office environment with a controlled climate. This position may travel to other company locations. The normal auto hazards will apply. This position requires sitting at a computer desk for extended periods of time with use of a computer keyboard and use of hands to type. This position will continuously talk, hear, and read in verbal and written communication.
