Southeast Poultry has openings for the following position:
Position Description:
Maintaining a close rapport with Production and QA team to identify, solve, and prevent problems affecting quality of food product.
Duties:
- Continuously inspect product, the plant, the employees, and the equipment on the manufacturing floor to ensure quality and food safety standards are met
- Contribute to a successful food safety culture by following and enforcing the established guidelines as outlined by USDA regulations and Southeast Poultry guidelines
- Follow and enforce all company food safety protocols without fail
- Always perform tasks in a manner that protects and promotes food safety
- Ability to work weekends and holiday hours if needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Adaptable to a fast paced, shifting work environment; willing to remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements and scheduling needs
- Attention to detail, ability to focus on the project or task at hand and consistently deliver error free results
- Ensure to update HACCP, GMP, and SOP's as needed
- Knowledge with working with USDA in a poultry processing facility preferred
- Knowledge and/or experience with BRC and Food Defense Audits is a plus
- Knowledge of HACCP training and understanding of HACCP plans, SSOP, and GMP's preferred
- One year experience in food safety, regulatory and/or quality with food products preferred
