Affirma Consulting, a young, fast paced, award winning tech company is looking for a high-energy, forward-thinking Software Engineer to join a client of ours based out of Bentonville, Arkansas. Our client is a leader in the transportation industry and is seeking exceptional developers who are innovative thinkers to join their team as they build out new platforms to grow the companys potential.
In this role you will be responsible for leading Agile development, documenting programs, creating and implementing new platform features as well as partnering with cross functional teams to complete outstanding work!
Key Responsibilities:
Helps lead development efforts in an Agile development environment, daily stand ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and sprint demos.
Implements web designs that are asynchronous, responsive, and provide a rich user experience.
Develops and implements new features that meet J.B. Hunts standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Develops and implements new services/applications that meet J.B. Hunts standards in performance, reliability, and maintainability
Troubleshoots and solves production issues related to performance and reliability throughout the software stack with assistance from other team members.
Performs application debugging using their IDE of choice; unit testing using architecture standards; and documentation of current or future work tasks with a visual modeling application and/or an integrated README.
Helps lead team members in execution and release of builds using continuous integration and deployment using our current CI/CD applications and processes.
Help lead analysis and design tasks with the Agile team using software development lifecycle concepts.
Works within a collaborative environment and contributes to team goals by offering open and honest communication and helping to meet deadlines.
Application Technologies:
4-8 years experience working with object orientated languages such as Java 8+ , C# and/or Python
Experience with modern front-end web frameworks: Angular 5 or greater, JavaScript
Experience with database management systems
Experience with designing mobile applications
Hands on experience with both Docker and Spring boot
Proven experience working the full development life cycle including discovery, implementation, and deliver
