POSITION: Dispatcher (Non-Exempt)
The position delivers excellent results by effectively planning, organizing, scheduling and ensuring the timely delivery of freight while developing and growing supplier relationships for the purpose of improving profitability.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Ensure drivers are following all company safety policies and are wearing all necessary PPE
Coordinate scheduled deliveries with supply plants
Communicate with drivers to ensure timely deliveries
Communicate issues that arise with suppliers to Transportation Manager
Read, prepare, collect and maintain a variety of reports
Ability to schedule deliveries of raw materials efficiently
Reconcile weekly contract drivers invoices
Maintain equipment repair logs
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (related 2-year college degree preferred)
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a driver dispatcher or experience in the transportation, or logistics industry
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations affecting CDL drivers preferred
Familiarity with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Excellent communication and organization skills
Ability to work independently and solve problems with little direction
Must be able to pass a background check
