Typical work activities:
Designing of various products (Printed marketing products, signs, apparel)
Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work;
Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief;
Working on layouts and art working pages ready for print;
Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
Creative flair, originality and a strong visual sense
Strong computer skills
Select colors, images, textures and shapes to create the layout.
Select the size and arrangement of the different elements.
Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
Employ color, type, illustration, photography, and various print and layout techniques when designing project.
Design logos for products and businesses.
Design projects that include but are not limited to business cards, menus, signs, banners, flyers and forms.

Key skills for graphic designers:
Excellent skills, especially with design and photo-editing software such as Photoshop also used of Illustrator and InDesign. Must know how to use all three programs.
