Our successful property development company is in need for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Development Coordinator with excellent written communication skills in our corporate office. The Development Coordinator will report directly to the Vice President of Acquisitions and will assist in planning and acquiring affordable housing developments to align the organization's real estate portfolio.

Duties: Under supervision, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Research and evaluation of acquisition and development opportunities through financial modeling, market analysis and GIS mapping.

Conduct pre-development due diligence on properties being considered for acquisition and development such as contract negotiations, zoning/rezoning, and government support.

Ability to read, comprehend and implement the requirements of all potential funding sources including LIHTC, HOME, HUD, and the FHLB.

Prepare documents for the production of a variety of financing applications and proposals.

Coordinate with Architect, General Contractor, Management Company, and external Consultants. ÂÂÂ

Implement organizational systems.

Administrative functions to include a wide variety of situations and conflicts involving the clerical and administrative function of the team. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Prepares routine and advanced correspondence including letters, memoranda, and reports.

Updates the organization's marketing packets.

Qualifications: The following attributes are desirable for job success:

Four years of college, or related business in the field or in a related area required. Additional certifications and training may be required throughout employment.

Experience in affordable housing development, including Section 42 LIHTC, HOME, HUD financing, and community funding sources preferred.

Advanced experience with ArcGIS and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.

Strong analytical ability, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, self-motivation, and self-direction with ability to work independently.

Accuracy with an attention to detail in formatting and copyediting.

Willing to travel.
