Salmon Companies, headquartered in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a Software Engineer in support of national operations. Salmon Companies is one of the largest ground transportation suppliers for the United States Postal Service with terminal locations throughout the United States. We have a number of specialized systems tailored for our unique business, so a successful Software Engineer will need a very broad knowledge base and be able to work in a variety of technical environments. Specific duties include:
Develop and support new software applications as well as maintain existing applications;
Participate in the requirements analysis and detail design of object-oriented software applications;
Analyze business systems requirements and design technical solutions;
Design, document, test and implement application features and enhancements
Requirements and experience for this position include:
Four-year degree in Computer Science/IT, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Three years minimum experience information technology
Experience with Javascript and Jquery
Custom program development against a SQL Server database
Knowledge of relational databases
Strong Visual Basic, SQL, and ODBC skills
Microsoft Office Products experience
HTML and Flash experience a plus
Great Plains with Integration Manager experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Project coordination experience a plus
