Summary:Wellness Activity Coordinator/Medical Assistant will help plan, organize, implement and translate a variety of nutrition and health/wellness related programs for Nabholz and perform related professional and administrative work as required. Typical Duties:

Introduce employees/spouses to the program and encourage participation.

Coordinate and administrate activities such as monthly lunch-n-learns, CPR/AED and First Aid classes, blood drives, and vendors for bi-annual wellness testing.

Periodic public speaking including lunch and learns for employees or community-wide presentations promoting health and wellness.

Create patient education materials to include: bulletin board documents, newsletters, weekly blogs, and other education for social media.

Help coordinate and administrate yearly wellness screenings.

Distribute results from wellness testing via jobsite, home, and office visits.

Help design and implement preventative programs and activities to include cooking classes, taste tests, and online live demos.

Design and lead group nutrition activities.

Periodic injections such as influenza vaccines and Tdap.

Periodic finger sticks to include: nicotine/cotinine, A1c, and glucose.

Bi-annual blood draws during spring and fall wellness testing.

Taking vital signs such as height, weight, waist circumference, and manual blood pressure.

Assist with occasional occupational health testing to include DOT, Asbestos, and Silica physicals.

Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.

Maintain HIPPA compliance at all times.

All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bilingual: proficiently read, write, and speak in both English and Spanish.

Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Preferred: Associate of Science in Health or other health related fields will be considered.

Energetic, professional, and self-motivated with excellent written and oral skills.

Ability to work with employees and spouses at all levels.

Coordination and strong organizational and time-management skills.

Outgoing and personable with an emphasis on meeting the employee’s and/or spouse’s needs.

Physical Demands:

Continuously sit, stand, or walk.

Bend, squat, climb stairs, or ladders.

Lift occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Travel is involved to all locations of the company. Travel to Tulsa, OK will be required monthly.

Periodic nights and weekends may be required.

Office, cubicle, or work-station.

Job trailer or jobsite office.
