Job Type: Part-time; 2 shifts per week
Primary Location: Texarkana, TX
The Dental Practitioner operates a Dental Practice within a Correctional facility. Primary duties include providing routine and emergency dental care to offenders with the assistance from a Dental Assistant(s).
Applicant should have strong diagnostic skills and be well versed in all phases of general dentistry with emphasis on oral surgery, simple restorative and palliative care.
This position also maintains order and supervises the conduct of inmates; protects and maintains the safety of all persons and property; and other related work.
Qualifications:
United States Citizenship
Degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
Graduated from Accredited School (CODA)
Current, full and unrestricted State license to practice
Experience within Correctional Dentistry, Public Health or Military preferred; Recent graduates considered
DEA
CPR/BLS
Valid Driver License, Reliable Transportation
