Job Description

The Quantitative Analytics and Forecasting team is responsible for delivering strategic recommendations on critical business issues based on rigorous quantitative data analyses. The team enables data-driven decision making by analyzing multiple data sources, KPI's, trends, and market events to provide objective, actionable and strategic insight on business performance to the Commercial organization.

The Quantitative Analytics and Forecasting Director supports commercial planning efforts by overseeing and developing the short- and mid-term demand forecast for all US commercialized products. The Director Quantitative Analytics and Forecasting is expected to lead projects, work independently, collaborate extensively with partner groups within and outside of the Commercial Organization. This role will report to the Executive Director, Quantitative Analytics and Forecasting.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and manage continued development of US commercial short- and mid-term demand forecast across all US commercialized products
Oversee and manage continued development of patient-level forecast modeling tools
Lead the design and implementation of model updates and/or new forecast approaches
Develop and integrate commercial analytics to inform key forecast assumptions
Partner effectively and collaborate with internal divisions to integrate key market dynamics and cross-functional expertise into demand forecasts
Provide objective analysis and recommendations to support decision making and to enable the execution of key business initiatives
Clearly and concisely present analytic / forecast methodology and results to senior leadership
Perform mid-quarter variance analysis to assess accuracy of forecast and summarize key drivers for senior leadership
Partner with Sales Ops to develop and implement IC goals
Build peer support and strong internal relationships with colleagues

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Indirectly supervises employees through a dotted line structure or via other subordinate supervisors

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Education:
BS/BA degree in related discipline and at least 10 years of related experience, advanced degree in quantitative field or quantitative MBA is preferred; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:
At least 7 years of forecasting / analytical experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
At least 3 years of oncology experience strongly preferred
Prior marketing/marketing analytics or corporate strategy experience a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proven knowledge and proficiency in patient-level forecast modeling
Broad understanding of pharmaceutical data, including sales and claims data
Experience with analyzing large pharmaceutical secondary datasets (prescriber level, payer, patient / longitudinal)
Experience working with or in marketing
Experience in marketing analytics
Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and execute creative solutions
Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Experience working with 3rd party data management / analytics service providers
Proficiency in analytical tools is required (e.g., SQL, Alteryx)
Excellent collaboration and organizational skills
A keen eye for detail
Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, and to develop and maintain strong partnerships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
