Sr. Project Manager needed for a 100% remote, long term contract opportunity.JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Demonstrates project management fundamentals - Familiar with charter and scope management, project schedules, RACI, RAID Logs, Risk and Issue Management, Change Request Management.
  • Demonstrates agile fundamentals in a scrum environment - Able to run and facilitate agile ceremonies from daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives as well as ad hoc sessions as needed.
  • Maintain their sprint plans to reflect the approved project scope for MVP vs. backlog.

  • Able to deliver in a Hybrid Environment - Work with teams that are both Agile and Non-Agile and can "telescope between delivery frameworks and levels
  • Consult with Senior Business Management to define the approach, success metrics and scope of each assigned project.
  • Develop comprehensive plans, including the work schedule and resources needed to successfully deliver a solution that meets the stated business objectives.
  • Own project communication, including effectively summarizing many project activities into succinct and key items for status and progress reporting, and communicating changes in schedule, budget or scope, and issue resolution and decisions.
  • Manage scope and rigorously follow change control processes and track changes.
  • Manage all aspects of a program / project to execute against the defined plan to deliver the solution, including managing risks and mitigation plans, changes, issue tracking and resolution, decisions, and escalations.
  • Motivate and coordinate team members from various internal departments and vendors, and drive solution delivery across multiple work streams to target dates.
  • Effectively manage risks, issues, and outstanding decisions to rapid closure.
  • Manage multiple projects of medium-to-large size simultaneously, and their respective project teams of varying sizes, complexity, and backgrounds.
  • Establish and maintain project plans, project status reports, generate risk assessments, escalate issues, and facilitate project review presentations.
  • Facilitate meetings related to the project.
  • Collaborate with developers, operations, engineers, analysts, and business staff on assigning tasks, establishing project deliverables and scheduling of those tasks and deliverables.
  • Obtain approval from project sponsor(s) and / or primary stakeholder(s) and control the project scope, priorities, and schedule.
  • Contribute to thoughtful and creative discussions with project sponsor(s), department and division management on resource and scheduling, plans and challenges.
  • Analyze project data on assigned projects for efficiency gains.
  • May mentor and train less-experienced Project Management Analysts.
  • Follow all aspects of the company's methodology, using standard templates, processes, and governance practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Superior work planning, organization, and management skills.
  • Problem-solving to maintain target date delivery.
  • Excellent knowledge of waterfall SDLC and ability to adopt to environment-specific methodology and terminology.
  • Good knowledge of IT functions and terminology, and comfort managing projects including technology work streams.
  • Strong Microsoft Project skills. Self-starter and ability work independently with minimal direction
  • Good business judgment and ability to advise business and IT in an objective and professional manner.
  • Must have functional knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Must have previous experience managing an EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) software project such as Oracle Hyperion, Account Reconciliation Cloud system (ARCS)) experience in business, systems and / or process analysis, with at least 4 years of project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • PMP certifications highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, techniques and methodology.
  • Highly skilled in MS productivity tools, including MS Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint & Visio.
  • A strong understanding of project management, infrastructure, application development and quality assurance testing lifecycles for in-house application development and 3rd party application implementations.
  • Strong problem-solving and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, exhibit poise and exercise diplomacy in communication, conflict management and decision-making.
  • Must be comfortable working with department and division management, business staff, software engineers, business systems analysts and network engineers.
  • Must be a self-starter, have demonstrated experience in a lead role, be well-organized, effectively managing their time and be a strong team player who can adapt rapidly to new developments and changing priorities.
