Job Summary: The Equipment Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to evaluate, inspect, design, install, analyze, repair, maintain and improve production and facility equipment. These actions will be performed according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives in an ISO-controlled production environment. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Understanding FDA regulations and ISO standards applicable to department operations and consequences of nonconformance
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.
Perform and document service repairs following manuals and standardized procedures
Monitor and maintain all preventative & non-routine maintains of equipment
Examination of malfunctioning equipment to determine the appropriate service; including but not limited to: disassembly of equipment, defective parts inspection, and testing of electrical and mechanical components.
Generate service estimates, providing a detailed list of required parts and labor hours
Interface with other manufacturing personnel and engineering
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
Utilize a variety of tools such as screwdrivers, hand drills, pliers, and special fixtures
Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of equipment
Reconcile and maintain accurate parts inventory
Monitor that equipment and facilities are kept suitable for their intended use: where necessary, communicating needs for maintenance, repair, etc. to the Production Manager
Assist other areas of the manufacturing operations on an as-needed basis
Represent the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all respects

Education, Experience, Skills, & Abilities:
Technical training and/or at least 5 years of hands-on experience servicing equipment
Previous cGMP and/or ISO experience preferred
Ability to read, interpret and follow diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment
Ability to use measuring instruments such as caliper and scale
Proficient in the use of small hand tools (pliers, screwdrivers, nut drivers)
Hand to eye coordination, agility, and dexterity is required
Basic computer skills (i.e. cut and paste)
Good organization skills and attention to detail
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Utilization of lean manufacturing techniques preferred
