Job Description
â¢Perform administrative duties of the front office
â¢Answer phones, filing, and assisting with patient check-in
â¢Collection of fees, preparation, and documentation of banking transactions
â¢Verifying insurance eligibility
â¢Escort patients to the lab and administer a variety of tests including urine and blood tests
â¢Assist counselors and medical staff with scheduling of patients for their appointments
Position Requirements
â¢Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma Required
OR
Medical Assistant in need of an extern site
â¢The desire to work in a fast-paced environment
â¢The ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing
â¢Excellent customer service skills
â¢Ability to multi-task
â¢Knowledge of medical billing and charge entry procedures, medical terminology and basic lab test procedures preferred
