TRUCK UPFITTER/ASSEMBLER
ASSEMBLE MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL/HYDRAULIC/PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS
Job Summary: An assembler mechanic performs various tasks necessary to assemble tanks, tank trailers and their component systems including wire harnesses, lighting, PTO systems, hydraulic lines and components, bolt on components and successfully test installed systems.
Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the layout, assembly and completion of various component parts and systems to the vessel, trailer, and truck chassis, as well as material handling, grinding, drilling, and some work in confined spaces. Relevant skills and knowledge consist of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics. Work duties are directed by general verbal and written instructions and drawing prints. Work duties are under the direction and supervision of the department supervisor/team leader.
Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 50# on occasion. Frequently lift up to 10# parts.
Other Requirements: Problem solving, ability to communicate with appropriate individuals to correct. Good team relation and communication skills are essential. Confined space entry.
Experience: High school graduate desired. Relevant work experience in manufacturing or similar work environment required. Assembly and fit up experience required.
