PA will be working in the Reconstructive Plastics office supporting the physicians in the space. The practice will consist of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, including but not limited to, rounding on patients in the Medical Center and assisting in surgery. Facilitates admissions and transfers from other hospitals, triages calls and messages.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as audiograms, CT/MRI scans, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal.
Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, incision and drainages , endoscopies, biopsies, suturing and wound care, and managing infection (change to manage acute and chronic medical issues).
Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
Assists surgeon in operation room procedures including cleaning, retracting, providing hemostasis, suturing.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate, ARC-PA accredited program
License/Certification:
BLS from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross
Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistant
Physician Assistant Licensure by the State of California
