The Opportunity | Quality Control InspectorThe Quality Control Inspector performs a wide variety of inspections and tests on purchased and manufactured products. The QC Inspector is required to follow written work instructions exactly as written and also be able to ascertain when items do not meet acceptance criteria in order to segregate non-conforming items from acceptable items.The candidate for this position requires excellent math and blueprint reading skills. The QC Inspector is required to be a self-starter that can multitask, is organized, a team player, and can work to schedules and priorities with minimal supervision.Major Accountabilities /DeliverablesPerform visual and dimension inspection on a variety of raw materials, components, assemblies, and witness testing
Execute work instructions exactly as written and be able to communicate the issues when they do not
Learn and implement the quality program manual, supporting procedures, and standard work instructions
Communication with customers, suppliers, the Authorized Nuclear Inspector, and other industry regulators
Qualifications:2-3 years' experience in a similar role requiring hands-on mechanical experience
Must be a detail-oriented, highly accurate quality individual
Proficient with typing and simple spreadsheets (MS Office), computer use, and measuring and test equipment (M&TE)
Ability to read and understand blueprints and/or written work instructions
Experience with NDE, LP, or calibration is considered an asset
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in a related field or technical school preferred.
