From brilliant creatives to technology trailblazers and beyond, join us as we step into the next chapter.SUMMARY OF POSITION :Responsible for overall management of Record-to-Report (“R2R”) processes for the WB Consumer Products and DC Entertainment global businesses ($1.0B+ in revenue growing to $2.0B within 5 years). This role is designated as the Global Business Owner (“GBO”) for these businesses and is required to drive a global standard approach for all related business processes. This role provides support and guidance for business changes (operational and systems) and escalated issues related to processes outsourced to the BPO provider. Responsibilities include review of processes for elimination, automation, standardization and improvements, general ledger ownership, oversight of month end closing and reporting, consolidation of actual results and preparation and review of all financial statements prior to submission to WBD Corp. Reporting, by title reporting, cause of change submissions, footnotes, supplemental schedules and disclosures on a global business basis.Job ResponsibilitiesDirect interaction with the Service Deliver Center (SDC) Controllers to support escalations and inquiries for all month-end close activities including trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, revenue and expense analytics, proper posting of revenue, financial statements and supplemental schedules, accrual schedules and balance sheet account reconciliations. Responsible for establishing and ensuring timeliness of overall monthly close activities, accuracy of close processes and management of SDC activities. Coordinate dates in close calendar. Ensure Sox controls are implemented and adhered to. Manage the monthly/quarterly close deliverables to Corporate Financial Reporting & Consolidations, including Business Unit by-title submissions, “cause of change” support, footnotes, supplemental schedules and electronic financial package delivery. Participate in “Lock” Meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure the lock down of financial numbers at each month end close. Lead as a GPO for R2R aid in the development and execution of a consistent global approach, including the developing/updating of policies and standards, for the given processes. The GPO is accountable for defining and enforcing the end-to-end processes across all territories for the designated businesses, where applicable. This role is accountable for the design, technology and data of the designated process in an effort to achieve global standardization. The GPO manages existing governance structures, designs & leads process improvement opportunities, system improvements and organizational alignment to achieve centralization and continuous improvement. Develop staff into mature financial advisors with a customer service orientation toward the dependent SDC teams, Corporate and Business Unit groups with whom there is regular interaction. Work with supervisor to set priorities for the department and drive all problem resolution matters. Manage team in support of all external, internal and participation audits. Ensure timely and accurate responses. Business systems for Consumer Products are old and antiquated and this position will be required to clear existing backlogs and bring all processes current and up to date. Additionally, this position will participate in implementation projects to replace these antiquated systems and help establish appropriate internal controls around the new systems.JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDSWork ExperienceMinimum 10+ years experience overall in Finance and Accounting

Minimum 5+ years experience managing a large team (onshore and offshore)

Deep senior level financial management experience in film studio, media and entertainment industry.

International experience preferred

Experience in SAP environment and familiarity with complex systems and interfaces

Experience driving process improvement within an accounting organization

Experience managing external service providers

Experience serving senior level management customers

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or CertificationBachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA and/or MBA preferred.

Knowledge/SkillsDeep understanding of studio distribution channels and business models, revenue drivers, licensee model, statement processing, contracts management, etc.

Ability to communicate (written & verbal) with service providers, licensees, BU executive stakeholders & all levels of WB Accounting & Finance management

Strong service delivery orientation

Possess strategic thinking, change leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effect change and continuous improvement across diverse stakeholder groups

Requires a client service orientation and ability to handle multiple customer constituency groups

Mastery of general accounting principles and internal controls

Other RequirementsMust have proven management experience and effective management skills

Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons on all levels, in person, via email or other digital format and on the telephone
