Job Description As part of the Commercial Operations team, the Technical Agronomist will be the primary point of contact for specialty crop customers in the Western Region of the US. An agronomist in this role will be successful by building genuine, long-lasting relationships with companies' customers and ensuring that product adoption is high, the value of our data is understood, and each project is extremely successful. This agronomist will be critical to our success - his or her feedback, experience, and insights will be extremely valuable to our team.
What you will be doing:
Serve as the technical and field-level agronomic specialist for companies cutting-edge solutions
Build trust and confidence with our retailer and grower customers to ensure genuine, long-lasting partnerships
Collaborate with customers to set realistic goals, gain alignment from all stakeholders, design sampling protocols, and track progress over time to drive projects towards wildly successful outcomes
Work alongside PCAs, CCAs, farm agronomists, and researchers to design robust soil sampling projects that leverage companies soil health data to help customers achieve their goals (and celebrate with us when they do!)
Train and educate on soil biology and science for both technical and non-technical customers in a way that transforms complex science into actionable agronomic recommendations
Create project timelines, scope requirements, and set expectations to keep all projects on track and ensure on-time delivery of results for large and important customer account
Oversee all aspects of complex, multi-dimensional projects to ensure that conflicting priorities are resolved and milestones are met
Coordinate and communicate effectively with large teams of stakeholders, from interns to senior management, both with our customers and internally with our dynamic, interdisciplinary team
Keep meticulous project documentation, including sampling plans and schedules, agronomic decisions, meeting notes, and customer information
Experience designing and executing field trials. This person will lead the coordination and execution of field soil sampling, tissue sampling, and other data collection.

Collaborate with companies' product, R&D, and sales teams to advocate for and prioritize product enhancements based on customer feedback
Travel 50-60% of the time (when possible), primarily in CA, AZ, and the Pacific Northwest
Experience you will need:
Bachelor's degree in agronomy or related field; Masters degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, or Viticulture preferred or 7+ years related experience or training
PCA or CCA preferred
Demonstrated understanding of plant pathology, nutrient cycling processes and agronomic theory, including farming best practices, seed technologies, and crop protection
Strong technical aptitude, including ability to synthesize and interpret agronomic data and design effective experiments
