Job Description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The Live Virtual Constructive Training Environment Analyst reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Task Order Manager. The Live Virtual Constructive Training Environment Analyst will perform the following duties:

  • Provide exercise design recommendations on LVC-TE resources available to meet unit training needs, and LVC-TE training benefit analysis for units conducting training.
  • Coordinate with Training Support Division (TSD), Battle Simulation Center (BSC), I MEF Expeditionary Operations Training Group, and other training support personnel to facilitate exercises and analyze training gaps to assist local units to meet their training objectives. This includes assistance to TSD to deliver training support to units, integrating Marine Corps training systems and devices into unit training plans.
  • The contractor shall assist with the development of and deliver training on the LVC-TE systems available and exercise design support. This includes assistance in delivering a total integration of systems which involves all training systems and sites required by units.
  • Provide SME support to Integrated Product Teams, Operational Planning Teams, planning conferences, working groups, meetings, and training cadres to develop training events, exercises, and scenarios.
  • The contractor shall support training analysis with subject matter expertise in intelligence, joint operations, and interagency operations scenario development, and scenario development specific to current operations and employment of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems. This includes providing, collecting, inputting, and analyzing training data for use in future systems planning, upgrades, and changes.
  • Analyze I MEF LVC-TE capabilities to highlight useful information, make recommendations on interoperability and systems effectiveness, and support I MEF decision making.
  • Provide recommendations for innovative synergies by networking legacy systems and devices with new/future systems and devices to maximize training effectiveness and economic efficiency. This includes evaluation of the effectiveness of existing LVC-TE systems in order to inform future systems modifications/upgrades at Service level to support LVC-TE capability development across all operating force locations.
  • Provide recommendations for data, system upgrades, and other innovations to support I MEF coordination with other Commands to achieve long-term LVC-TE goals.

Qualifications

Education

  • BA/BS is required, MA/MS degree preferred.
  • Attended Professional Military Education appropriate to rank at time of separation or retirement from the uniformed service.

Experience

  • Six + years of experience required.
  • Experience on a 2 Star or 3 Star staff is desired.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communications and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the Marine Corps serving at the MEF MAGTF level
  • Experience with the Marine Corps Planning Process or Military Decision-Making Process
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps Training and Education programs.
  • Experience of working in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) or the LVC-TE
  • Familiarity with Marine Corps simulations and training systems
  • Experience with Marine Corps C4I systems
  • Familiarity with DoD Simulation protocols and M&S programs
  • Knowledge of LVC-TE programs and acquisition
  • Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.

  • Daily travel in the local area during the workday (including the use of a personal vehicle).
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus
