The

Data Architect role at ImpediMed is the blending of hands-on data and business analytics combined with systematic and architecture level experience related to data and business analytics system. Ideal person in the role has already led data architecture functions along with data analysis, data presentation, report writing, data warehouse functions for a customer facing product development for data and analytics towards the product launch and being used by several customers in a cloud environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
(Essential Functions of the Position) Include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lead and own the functional requirements, architecture and key design decisions of features that spans across different data for SOZO including database, reports, analytics, ETL etc.
• Create, lead and manage the scalable data architecture, ETL, Data warehouse, and Reporting functions.
• Be the key technical contact for product managers, customers, stakeholders, and software development team as it relates to data and analytics.
• Perform high level technical feasibility analysis of requested features.
• Architectural design of data blocks and layers including block diagrams, flow charts, entity relationship management, proof of concepts, reports and data base schema, etc.
• Participate in planning software evolutionary paths and feature roadmaps.
• Participate in the system specification review process to ensure system requirements can be translated into valid data architecture.
• Evaluate new technology or tools and plan their insertion into various teams as it relates to data and analytics.
• Participate in architecture and code review to ensure quality of the design, avoid un-needed complexity, advocate for clarity as it relates to data and analytics.
• Provide input and strongly support design guideline documentation driving forward the continuous improvement of the various software team practices, process, and methods and overall quality of deliverables.
• Manage the technical relationship with key vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES (

Typical Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

• Databases, business analytics, ETL, Data warehouse, and Data Reporting
• In-depth understanding of database structure principles. Database development – schema development, report development, ETL, and Data warehouse design and development
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau and D3.js), ETL and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R and Java
• Deep understanding and practical experience with data mining, data modeling, data science, and artificial intelligence etc.
• Data and Data Sets Analysis skills to identify trends, outliers, and data patterns.
• Ability to build and manage models to predict future outcomes from existing data using Machine Learning (Descriptive and Predictive modeling).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated collaborative teamwork capabilities.
• Structured approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience with either one or more of functions such as Data Architect, Data Developer, Business Analytics, Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• 10+ years of hands-on data base development, data reporting and ETL / Data warehouse development experience.
• Medical Device experience coupled with digital health experience or clinical data analysis experience is a plus.
