Position Summary
The Ecommerce Merchandising Manager is responsible for turning Canyon's North American consumer insights into a frictionless digital shopping experience. Driven by Canyon’s business objectives, you will maintain the onsite conversion funnel examining how each customer migrates through the website from initial visit to conversion, optimizing the customer experience along the way. With a background in front-end development, a keen understanding of DtC merchandising strategy, and strong digital marketing principles, you oversee a team tasked with shaping and defining the US website product, driving key strategic growth and retention initiatives, building out reporting and KPIs, and enacting best practices and site optimization efforts. You are highly organized and able to manage a diverse set of objectives requiring orchestration between different global business including digital, marketing, supply chain, finance, and customer service. The basis of the Ecommerce Merchandising Manager's purview will be the creation and timely execution of the Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Roadmap. With sensitivity to business objectives, you will leverage the CRO Roadmap to guide content improvements, website merchandising efforts, the web content calendar, improved checkout processes and other critical website elements. Ultimately, your team will be a key component in sustaining Canyon USA’s ambitious revenue and growth targets. As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have a rich background in ecommerce testing and analysis with a strong understanding of the DTC customer funnel, website merchandising, and website development/engineering.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement online merchandising strategies, focusing on driving year-over-year sales growth, conversion, and retention.
  • Understand and eliminate barriers to purchase by working with digital leadership to develop and deploy a "DtC Hurdles" focused content strategy.
  • Maintain the website content calendar and associated deadlines, spearheading weekly refreshes, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and other notable releases.
  • Manage general product (bike and gear) website presentation and accuracy through implementation of ecommerce merchandising best practices.
  • Manage a team to ensure the execution of daily and monthly online merchandising and optimization tasks including management of sorting rules, filters, product placement, search management, etc.
  • Track and report on ecommerce KPIs including revenue, conversion, AOV, cart abandonment, etc.
  • Oversee the onsite product launch process in collaboration with the product team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all relevant ecommerce and brand content.
  • Track and manage all site projects; liaise with engineers, developers, and creative team for changes, fixes, updates, and enhancements to the site.
  • Align with Digital Marketing Manager to realize continuity of complete customer journey from acquisition through retention.
  • Ensure accurate SKU level details are reflected on the website by proactively managing merchandising presentations to support product conversion.
  • Act as an inter-departmental liaison to resolve merchandise-related issues for product, marketing, and customer service teams.
  • Work with the marketing team to define and map customer groups and design in-cart and post-purchase engagement strategies that drive cross and up-sell revenue.
  • Create and maintain product collections, product sets, & bundles.
  • Maintain pricing integrity and accuracy in accordance with sales promotions and pricing strategy.
  • Interface with global merchandising team to learn and share results and experiences.


Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

:
  • Obsession with customer journey management and onsite experience development.
  • 5+ years of work experience in DtC ecommerce management, site merchandising, product management, or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Digital Marketing, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management
  • Practical experience with A/B and multivariate testing methodologies
  • Demonstrable familiarity with HTML, CSS
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud or other highly customized enterprise ecommerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce's suite of CRM services including Commerce Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.
  • Experience with a variety of ecommerce and web analytics tools including Google Analytics, Einstein Analytics, Search Console, etc
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting scheduled deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work across departments globally.
  • Expertise in digital communications including web, email, social media, mobile - and more.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment
Work is performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
Position requires up to 20% of travel both domestically and internationally. Passport is required for this position.
