The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for applying, enforcing and executing the company’s revenue recognition policy as it relates to the performance of revenue accounting. They manage the financial close schedule and provide guidance to stakeholders on complex revenue matters. They may, at times, be asked to support special projects as subject matter experts.What you will do:Apply and enforce the Company's revenue recognition policy for all LSG North America revenue including licensing agreements, milestone accounting, and complex sales contract review
Monthly closing of revenue related transactions in accordance with the financial close schedule
Analyze and review monthly financial results
Establish controls necessary to ensure that revenue forecasts, deferred revenue balances and revenue accounting execution are compliant with company policy and GAAP
Build relationships and established processes with business unit commercial partners
Perform technical accounting research of complex issues to ensure proper accounting treatment
Coordinate quarterly reviews performed by the external independent auditors
Review work and conduct goal setting, performance evaluations and career development discussions for the team
How you will get here:Education:Bachelor’s degree in a business/accounting/finance required
Master’s degree in accounting/finance and/or CPA certification preferred
Experience:6+ years of experience in the field of accounting/auditing
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Strong analytical, project and people management skills
Proficiency in programs with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Oracle, Cognos
Operates with a high degree of integrity, goal oriented and experience with team management
Experience with JD Edwards E1, SAP, with Smartview, Oracle R12, Filemaker, Hyperion Financial management and FDM preferred
