Job Summary:This position is responsible for installation, setup, repair and preventative maintenance of various facility, manufacturing and packaging equipment. Position will ensure safety, cGMP compliance and efficiency of all equipment to support the Natrol objectives. Person will comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Safety Procedures.Essential Responsibilities: Assessment, installation, proper maintenance of all equipment required to operate the facility and production environment. This can also include setup, troubleshooting, training of team members on various equipment. Person may focus their areas in one of 3 areas (Manufacturing, Packaging, Facility) depending on their individual skill set and organizational needs. Equipment varies but can include both manufacturing and packaging equipment (blenders, Encapsulators, tablet presses, coating machines, pill counters, cappers, labellers, etc.) and auxiliary support equipment. Facility Equipment varies but can include Air compressors, HVAC, RO Water System, Lighting, Water heaters, Balers, furnaces, vacuum / dust collection, fabrication equipment, etc.Supplemental Responsibilities:Will do preventative maintenance on equipment and complete relevant paperwork/reports as needed. Will do machine set ups and help train Operators on set-ups.Required Education and Experience:Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an industrial setting supporting maintenance functions. Certificates or Licenses are highly desired (E-Tech, Millwright, HVAC). Must have the ability to use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Strong problem solving abilities along with a strong work ethic.COMPETENCIES: Resource Allocation – includes ability to allocate time, resources, tools and people to complete assigned and required tasks in a timely and safe manner

Technical Ability – Strong ability on few key areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic processes including facility management and specific machinery located on site. Ability to read/understand equipment manuals and/or diagram schematics

Process Improvement – strong execution of continuous improvement initiatives, formal or informal. Ensures Best Practices improve organizations efficiencies, regulatory compliance including facilitating project teams and technical problem-solving. Works with Manager or other teams to help determine viability of various tasks / projects

Quality – knowledge, practice and execution of cGMP and GDP skills. Quality of work meets or exceeds cGMP, Regulatory and OSHA requirements

Safety – Able to follow and understand and OSHA regulatory requirements

Supervisory Responsibility:This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or department Supervisor for job assignments. Performs duties under limited supervision.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Must be able to walk to / from work area, use hands for fine manipulation and may need to work in awkward positions.Travel:Minimal travel of less than 10% may be required to visit customers, vendors or offsite training based on business needs.Typically, an employee performs 80% of essential responsibilities to qualify for classification in this position.
