Robert Half Technology is seeking candidates with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users in an understandable and concise format, for a Desktop Support Technician position with a company in the Non-Profit field. If you are an articulate problem solver who loves to work in a challenging and positive environment, this may be the Desktop Support Technician role for you. Located in the Chatsworth, California, area, this Desktop Support Analyst role is long-term temporary in nature.
Your responsibilities in this role
- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Coordinate hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Resolve computer problems, and give guidance on appropriate action/solutions
- Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Provide computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Preserve, inspect, and mend computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Requirements
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- 3+ years of desktop support or other related experience
- Foundational knowledge in Microsoft
- Good understanding of Microsoft Server OS
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Server
- Prior experience with Audio Video
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- General familiarity with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server
- Previous experience working with Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft Exchange Server experience
- Experience with Setup Configuration
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Background working with Microsoft Outlook
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
- Active Directory experience
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Exchange
- Audio Visual experience highly valued
- Microsoft Office Tools experience highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with conference room setup & cleanup
- Comprehension of Desktop Environment
- Microsoft Access experience highly desired
- Nonprofit Organizations experience preferred
