Description
Work as a key member of the Cost Accounting team, partnering with the Cost Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, FP&A Manager and internal stakeholders from Operations, Procurement and Logistics. Primary responsibilities will include processing Inventory/CapEx PO and Freight invoices, managing the freight reconciliation, and reviewing inventory transactions.
Accounts Payable, Inventory and Capital
Process Inventory PO invoices for Packaging, Oil and CoPack items in NAV
Process Capital PO invoices in NAV
Reconcile Exchange Rate Variance Account
Review Received Not Invoiced Report
Review Open POs with Procurement
Review end of month on hand inventory with Operations and Supply Chain
Participate in Annual COGS Model Plan for RM cost updates, communicate and monitor changes with Procurement
Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts as needed
Manage Grower POs, Receipts and Invoices for CA Harvest
Back up for Item Journal and Reclass Journal posting in NAV
Finance expert in the following NAV systems: Purchasing, Payables, Inventory
Prepare presentations as needed
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Freight
Process Inbound and Outbound Freight invoices in NAV
Prepare monthly freight accrual journal entry
Manage freight reconciliation
Review Freight BVA with Logistics and FP&A
Continuous Improvement
Identify areas of improvements and standardization
Participate in P2P process and systems improvement meetings with Procurement and Supply chain
Qualifications
Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel; must be proficient at Excel formulas and functions such as sumifs, vlookup, and pivot tables. The ability to create PowerPoint presentations a plus.
Proficiency in NAVision and reporting tools or other ERP software.
Ability to dig into the data to identify and understand drivers, trends, and identify root causes of results and their impact on the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external colleagues, consultants, etc.
Ability to be self-directed, work independently and also work as part of a team
Ability to display a positive, collaborative attitude in stressful situations
Ability to meet deadlines in a very fast paced environment with competing priorities
Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving abilities to understand the big picture.
Degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting preferred. Understanding of accounting principles/general ledger. Experience in accounts payable processes, inventory procurement processes and reconciliation desirable.
