Description
Work as a key member of the Cost Accounting team, partnering with the Cost Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, FP&A Manager and internal stakeholders from Operations, Procurement and Logistics. Primary responsibilities will include maintaining cost systems, monitoring production costs, facilitate CapEx reviews and fixed asset accounting.
Cost Accounting
Monitor weekly production costs and variances for COR and COPack locations
Run Daily cost adjustment job and review posting reports
Review production inventory adjustments and hold locations, revalue FG production as needed
Prepare monthly oil depreciation journal entries
Prepare monthly Tank Farm and GIO Sourcing allocation journal entries
Prepare monthly GIO and Italy CoPack purchase journal entries
Perform monthly financial closing functions related to manufacturing costs, reconcile production orders, analyze cost variances
Lead for FG, RM and Oil Inventory reconciliation: Trial Balance to Inventory Valuation, prepare JE adjustments as needed
Reconcile production allocation accounts
Prepare monthly COGS analysis
Prepare monthly PPV report for Procurement Teams
Prepare monthly inventory adjustment report
Participate in Annual COGS Model Plan, complete NAV updates to Cost systems, communicate and monitor changes with Operations and Procurement
Prepare and manage CA Harvest Summary and Grower Payments
Back up for BOM and New Item approvals in NAV
Finance expert in the following NAV systems: Cost Accounting, Inventory
Prepare presentations as needed
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Fixed Asset Accounting
Prepare and distribute CapEx detail to business units
Facilitate CapEv reviews monthly/quarterly with key project members
Perform timely and accurate recognition of capital expenditures and depreciation expense
Perform monthly closing activities including recognition of complete capital projects, asset disposals, capital accruals and related depreciation accruals, other journal entries, analysis and reporting
Verify adequate approvals prior to any asset write-off
Finance lead for annual fixed asset verification
Finance expert in the following NAV systems: Fixed Assets, Jobs
Support annual audit process, assist with audit schedules as required for capital projects or fixed assets
Continuous Improvement
Identify areas of improvements and standardization
Participate in RPO Inventory process and systems improvement meetings with Operations and Supply chain
Qualifications
Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel; must be proficient at Excel formulas and functions such as sumifs, vlookup, and pivot tables. The ability to create PowerPoint presentations a plus.
Proficiency in NAVision and reporting tools or other ERP software.
Ability to dig into the data to identify and understand drivers, trends, and identify root causes of results and their impact on the organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external colleagues, consultants, etc.
Ability to be self-directed, work independently and also work as part of a team
Ability to display a positive, collaborative attitude in stressful situations
Ability to meet deadlines in a very fast paced environment with competing priorities
Ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving abilities to understand the big picture.
BA/S degree in Business Administration/Finance/Accounting with 3+ years of accounting or finance experience. Understanding of accounting principles/general ledger. Experience in cost accounting, fixed asset management and reconciliation desirable.
