Seeking a full-time professional Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper is responsible for creating financial transactions through Sage 100 accounting software and creating financial reports from that information. The Bookkeeper is also responsible for reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Develops systems to account for financial transactions; assists in defining accounting policies and procedures.

Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.

Balances subsidiary accounts to the general ledger by reconciling entries.

Balances general ledger by reconciling balance sheet accounts.

Researches discrepancies and inconsistencies within the accounting software(s).

Maintains historical records by filing documents.

Conducts monthly or more frequent reconciliation of every bank account.

Conducts periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.

Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to

requirements; files reports; advises management on needed actions.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Works with all departments to form an efficient and continuous workflow.

Regular attendance.

CORE COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in business or Accounting preferred.

Education, training, skills, and experience necessary to carry out assignments.

Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively. Demonstrated skill in correct grammar, spelling,

and English usage.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, administrative team, and the public.

Five (5) or more years of demonstrated accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Experience with serialized inventory a must!

Experience in SAGE 100 a plus.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task.

Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
