The Primavera 6 (P6) scheduler will develop the foundational elements of the scheduling structure for the various underground, overhead, and service connection workstreams. They will provide weekly updating process implementation, analytics, and reporting functions. The Scheduler is responsible for understanding the demand for upcoming resources and planning the supplied capacity of known resources against that demand. The scheduler is also expected to report on-demand/supply imbalances and seek mitigating actions.

Areas of Responsibilities

In conjunction with Controls Lead and Program Manager, establish templates, rules, and workflows for project schedulers.

Produce weekly schedule updates and progress reports.

Train program and project personnel on scheduling, tools, and processes as needed.

Identify gaps in and implement solutions within the scheduling process.

Develop “what if” scenarios and support monthly forecasting efforts.

Develop, report, and manage schedule data for the portfolio of assigned projects.

Extract schedule information from reporting systems and analyze data to report on the status of the project.

Identify the root cause of variances and define future spending in justifiable terms.

Involved in the tracking system to ensure that the project manager is fully aware of detailed change order status.

Create and update P6 and SAP click schedules.

Track milestones and work directly with project managers, analysts, and PMO supervisors.

Use unit reporting to update unit forecasts in P6.

Requirements

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of related work experience.

Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.

Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
