SUMMARY

Sr. Financial Analyst with responsibility to be primary provider of finance support and finance communications for business unit partners, while ensuring linkage to total COR finance, accounting, compliance and continuous improvement processes.

Assist the FP&A Manager in driving the annual operating plan and monthly forecast process, rationalizing inputs and providing feedback, connecting finance, accounting and your business partners. As a finance business partner to your business unit partners, work with teams to develop and quantify annual budgets. Ensure spend is aligned with strategic and operational objectives. Develop and maintain standard financial metrics, helping your business partners set financial benchmark goals. Continuous refinement of financial drivers and key assumptions via monthly forecast process, budget versus actual reviews and key metric reviews. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, as required, to support business decision needs. Develop strong relationships with your business partners, while maintaining and objective mind in evaluating performance as a group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Review and rationalize financial inputs for annual operating plan and forecasts, ensuring financial plans are linked with Corporate objectives. Ensure all inputs/assumptions are clearly documented and deadlines are effectively met.

Establish and maintain key performance indicators to measure business trends.

Build, maintain and update financial models as required to support business until investment requirements.

Support the FP&A Manager in design and maintenance of streamlined planning and forecasting process and tools. Drive process improvements and systems automation where appropriate.

Participate in and provide commentary for monthly financial reviews and budget versus actual reviews.

Monitor and communicate opportunities and/or gaps in spending versus business unit objectives and projects

Ensure financial compliance and closed loop process with accounting (cost accountant, close process, etc.)

Responsible for internal business unit financial reporting and data accuracy.

Drive and work with FP&A manager in proactively finding cost saving opportunities

Ability to effectively manage and develop staff as necessary (no direct reports at this time)

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum Bachelors degree in business field or equivalent; Masters, CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred

Strong business acumen and communication skills required

Strong Project Management skills required

Minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in FP&A experience

Power user of financial reporting and consolidation or BI software (Ability to create reports and ad-hoc queries

Strong experience in building models in MS Excel. Some knowledge of statistical analysis preferred.
