Esplanade Office Furniture is the only local office furniture dealer. We have been helping people with office furniture for forty years. Esplanade Office provides the North State with office furniture, project management, interior design services and professional furniture installations.

Founded on a passion for custom cabinets and a woodworking background, we built most of the furniture in our shop at the beginning. As demand grew, we expanded our services to include complete project management services, commercial interior design, ergonomic workstations, panel systems, seating and all facets of contract office furniture.

Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Description:

The purpose of this position is to ensure our customers have the best experience possible while going through an

Office Furniture project. The person in this position will help manage projects from creation to completion with an emphasis in customer service. Works to ensure smooth workflow and completion of project, while interfacing with team members, clients, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

Act as a secondary point of contact for the customer for all project communications during the project process while working with a lead Project Manager.

Develop project scope, drawings, quotes, and organize deliveries based on overall project and customers goals.

Maintain detailed project documentation of key project decisions and customer requests and revisions.

Provide timely and formal written communication throughout projects and disseminate all critical information to clients and project teams.

As needed, review plans and specifications for accuracy, completeness, and correctness, and correct product application prior to quote submittal and order placement.

Monitor product arrival for completeness and condition; address any issues that arise with shipping and receiving.

Conduct final walk through with required parties, develop and resolve open issues/punch list, and complete project close out documentation.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to read blueprints, conduct field verifications, site measurements a plus.

Knowledge of CAD is a plus.

Must be extremely organized, with good time management skills and the ability to work independently.

Must be able to analyze and problem solve.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in office productivity applications; email, spreadsheets, presentations, documents.

Knowledge of contract furniture management, including account management, project management, order preparation and management, and installation a plus

Knowledge of interior construction, interior design, moves and relocations, and furniture manufacturing a plus.

Working Environment

This position works directly with a Project Manager and is intended as an entry level/training position.

Regularly works with others face to face, over the phone, and through email.

Generally, works in an office environment with low to moderate noise.

Nature of work may require working off hours and time spent out of the office and/or at job sites.

Job Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8a-5p
