GET PAID TO PLAY! Chico Area Recreation & Park District is accepting applications for Toddler Sports Director to start fall 2019 for it's September through August, ShortE Sports and Little Athlete, and Toddler Sports Summer Camp programs.
WHAT: Directors are responsible for the success of our ShortE Sports and Little Athlete programs. Directors are responsible for program planning and organization, equipment inventory, staff training and accountability, and positive parent/participant interactions to ensure we are spreading a "love of the game." Experience in soccer, tee-ball and/or basketball are preferred.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be able to provide a fun and positive recreational sports experience encompassing a Love of the GameĀ philosophy.
Having 5+ years of coaching, officiating and/or playing sports experience is required to apply.
Having basic knowledge of the sports is important, but the ability to coach children in an age appropriate manner that enables program participants to learn and improve skills, while fostering positive self-esteem, and promoting sportsmanship is our priority
Have passion and/or experience in working with ages 3-7 years old.
Have the ability and personality to hold staff accountable for the high program expectations, to ensure each session is ran with passion, energy, and enthusiasm.
Ensuring the safety of all staff and participants.
Organizational skills to plan programs, and effectively email and communicate with the Supervisor.
EMPLOYMENT DATES & TIMES: Starting Fall 2019
September-May: Saturdays from 8:30-12:30PM
September-October and March-May: Monday-Thursday from 2:45-6:30 PM
November-February hours will vary other than Saturdays.
June-August: Monday-Friday from 8AM-12:30 PM
Plus prep hours, meetings and staff training.
