Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
Ability to organize and prioritize work in a busy kitchen, increasing efficiency on the line.
Ability to produce creative and interesting new menu items and specials that are consistent with our style, concept, and price point, using fresh ingredients and skilled preparation methods.
Ability to maintain food quality, presentation, and sanitation standards.
Experience maintaining food storage, inventory/ordering, and food cost containment.
Widespread food and cooking knowledge to train, teach, and lead kitchen staff in all positions.
A communicator who can maintain our current (great) level of cooperation between FOH and BOH.
Must have minimum of 2 years experience in a (non-fast food) professional kitchen environment. Must have valid California Food Handler's License and either have or be willing to complete the CA food safety/sanitation manager's certificate if asked.
Must be available for early mornings and weekends. No evening shifts required.
$24 per hour with consistent 40 hour work week plus generous meal allowance, server tip out, and $200 gas allowance per month.
