RN/LVN/LPT - Inpatient Psychiatric Facility
Restpadd Red Bluff is a short drive away from lakes, hiking and biking trails, Mount Lassen, Mount Shasta, and the Sacramento River. The facility is a 16 bed inpatient psychiatric health facility for acute treatment of adult and adolescent patients experiencing a mental health crisis. The facility offers treatment of patients from all over northern California and provides a much needed resource to the community. Restpadd Red Bluff is the only acute psychiatric facility north of Sacramento that offers treatment to the adolescent population.
Mental Health Nurses at Restpadd Red Bluff have the rare and unique opportunity to provide insight and compassion to some of the least fortunate individuals from our community. Those who suffer serious and persistent mental illness often not only lose much of their livelihood, but also experience a loss of self as they disconnect from who they really are, or once were. There is no greater reward for a nurse than to see their patients heal. Although there is no cure for mental illness, we promote and support patients recovery and enable them to have more involvement and control over their conditions. With support, encouragement, and compassionate care, our patients discover greater insight, coping skills, resources, and hope for a better life.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The licensed nurse provides quality general and psychiatric nursing care to adults and adolescents with serious mental illness and/or emotional crises. The licensed nurse works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care. The licensed nurse functions as the shift supervisor overseeing and assisting nursing and mental health technician staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of California.
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
Skills required: high quality clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills, effective time management, ability to work independently and as a team, able to utilize electronic medical records, empathy toward patients and families with mental illness, and the ability to set appropriate boundaries.
Must pass physical and drug screen. Must pass criminal background check.
