Walker Street Veterinary Clinic in Orland, CA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant with a positive and upbeat attitude for our busy animal clinic.
Applicant must be compassionate and strive to honor the human-animal bond.
The Veterinary Technician/Assistant has a vital role treating both patients and clients with professionalism and compassionate care. Responsibilities include but not limited to animal handling, assisting veterinarians in exams, procedures, anesthesia and surgeries, thorough medical documentation, administration of vaccines, in-house lab procedures, radiology, as well as hospital maintenance (i.e. laundry, kennel cleaning, animal waste removal, janitorial duties, etc.)
Strong communication skills, flexibility, professional appearance, punctuality, confidence, ability to accept constructive criticism, multi-tasking and attention to detail are required of the employee. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
