Human Resources and Administration Manager

We are looking for an independent, self-motivated HR Generalist/Admin Manager to join its growing Team and provide HR support to over 100 associates.

The HR Generalist/Administration Manager will be directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function by guiding and directing services, policies, and programs for the entire company. Specifically, this position partners with Senior Management to oversee and direct all recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance, change management, and training programs. The role is responsible for implementing, enforcing and administering federal and state employment regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures.

Example of Duties:

In partnership with Senior Management, develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures

Prepares, maintains, and updates handbook on policies, procedures, and company culture.

Manages the talent acquisition process including job descriptions, hiring, producing offer letters, new hire paperwork and onboarding.

Handles all unemployment claims and appeals; manages exposure and rates; produces and reviews all termination paperwork.

Strategically partners with and assists department managers to improve retention, on-board employees, training and support career development.

Coordinates annual re-evaluation of all benefits programs and policies for cost effectiveness; works with brokers to ensure company is offering comprehensive health care and associated benefits that are consistent with expectations

Manage leave administration in compliance with state and federal requirements

Plans, coordinates, communicates and executes all benefits programs including, the Open Enrollment process for the entire company. Monitors health care benefits to ensure full compliance and ensures mandatory COBRA, HIPAA and other benefits notices are completed.

Manages and implements the Performance Management & Compensation process ensuring effective feedback and compensation for all employees.

Promotes a safe workplace through system and proactive safety practices and processes.

Proactively manage the administration and management of workers compensation matters including compliance, education and issues.

Develops and implements training programs for supervisors and employees that meet state mandated requirements as well as leadership development and supervisory skills.

Collect timecards and coordinate payroll data submittal to company Headquarters. File and maintain all backup information. Enter new employees into the payroll system/ Delete employees upon separation.

Manage company office support including office equipment and service contracts.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience in a generalist role

HR certification preferred

Experience support/working in a production/manufacturing environment preferred

Bilingual (English-Spanish) an advantage

Superior interpersonal skills; ability to communicate (both orally and written) effectively and professionally both internally and externally

Proficient in Microsoft Office & Google Docs Suite.

Detailed working knowledge of HR Laws, Regulations and Compliance practices

Physical Activities

Sits for extended periods of time

Must be able to lift, and/or move up to 25lbs

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and to use hands to handle object, tool or controls.
